The Minnesota
Society for Interest in
Science Fiction
and Fantasy
(MISFITS) is a non-profit organization with
a mission of increasing literacy, community service, and
community building. MISFITS also serves as a
forum and foundation for celebrating diversity and works to
promote the appreciation of, and interest in, Science Fiction
and Fantasy. MISFITS works with people of all ages, ethnic identities, and socio-economic backgrounds to enhance literacy; reaching out to youth and adults in need of reading, writing and computing skills. The ability to express one's thoughts and feelings in different mediums is a skill that should be nurtured and practiced, no matter what the age. MISFITS realizes that for our children, literacy is the key to a happy, successful future. You can also read our: Board of Regents

Club ExpectationsIn an effort to help insure that MISFITS continues to meet the criteria established by the State of Minnesota for a non profit, the MISFITS Officers have established some minimum club expectations. Please be aware that these expectations can and will change based upon the needs of the organization and the requirements of the State of Minnesota.
If you have any questions or
concerns about these expectations, please, contact one of the
MISFITS coordinators. |
