Relations
Communications/Administration:
Responsible for keeping corporate records and taking minutes at
all MISFITS meetings. This includes keeping track of action
items and partnering with the MISFITS Finance Coordinator on a
regular basis. The AdminComm Coordinator is also responsible for
advertising meetings and events information and works with the
Events Coordinator to ensure coverage and proper volunteer
staffing at events. This Coordinator takes and maintains
attendance records at all MISFITS events and planning meetings.

CONvergence Coordinator Position Descriptions
The deadline for submission to run for a
CONvergence coordinator position is November 19th, 2006. There are seven
positions, four are up for election in 2007, three are up for election in 2008.
The seven coordinators are responsible for running the
CONvergence convention.
Duties for all CONvergence
coordinators:
(specific duties listed under each divisional head)
- Attend CONvergence
coordinator meetings and and Concom meetings.
- Attend as many MISFITS meetings
and events as possible.
- Assist in the planning of CONvergence
and recruiting volunteers.
The four positions up for election in
January of 2007 are:
Publications: Responsible for publications, signage, and graphics required for CONvergence and related events and activities.
Facilities: Responsible for seeing to the securing of the venues used by CONvergence, for
move-in and move-out of any equipment necessary to the organizations in the
venues used; for reviewing, negotiating and signing all pertinent contracts for venues used. Also responsible for pre-move in inspections and move out
inspections for damage and any other issues related to use of the venues, review of the final bill to settle any and all charges.
Marketing: Responsible for the Art Show, the Dealers Room, and Concessions. Oversees and
approves publications from the departments, as well as expenditures from those departments. As well as Board of Directors decision-making responsibilities, also act as a representative of those departments to the Board.
Finance: Responsible for insurance, budgeting, balancing the accounts for the convention.
Currently the primary support for the MISFITS treasurer including working directly with the
treasurer to balance all IRS accounts and maintaining 501 (c) 3 (non-profit), balance and
submit ASCAP and is first contact for potential legal issues.
The three positions up for election in
January of 2008 are:
Communications:
Responsible for agenda, minutes and attendance at all CVG
Coordinator meetings, Regents meetings, and convention committee
meetings. Oversee departments related to communications
including photography, videography, registration, volunteers,
web page, and IT.
Community Relations: Responsible for soliciting and arranging guests to the CONvergence convention, including transportation. Also responsible for "at convention" fundraising. Oversee departments related to guests and fundraising including all guest coordinators, guest liaisons and silent auction.
Events: Responsible for "at convention" events including all programming,
mainstage events, movies, CoF2E2, Connie's Space Lounge, Consuite and music.
