Events

• Annual Picnic Planning - Picnic is Saturday, June 9th. Set-up is at 11 AM, lunch is served at noon. Meeting is at 1 PM and teardown starts at 3 PM (although we have the shelter until
  7 PM.) Dave will look into a Bouncy Castle for the Picnic and get back to us later this week. Jodie will be absent from 1 to 4 PM. Chris will lead meeting (Peter is backup.) Peter will reach out to Roadkill about grilling. Matt, Peter, and Thomas will meet at office at 9:30 AM. Dave will check with Tony about DVDs. We will buy meat, buns, condiments, plates, dinner ware.

Parties Updates

• CVG Room Party Planning - Matt will bring Metropolis to run on a loop and a DVD player. We will have 5 keys, one for each MISFITS Coordinator. Setup will be Thursday afternoon. We’ll need instructions written up for the various items (no sour cream in syringes) and Dave will write these up and hopefully laminate them. Matt will propagate the sign up list to the MISFITS staff list, the MNSF LJ group, and others. Peter will mandate that all clubs send a representative to volunteer and will email club heads about this.

  We will also need cleaning products and Christmas lights. Jodie will buy serving bowls from a dollar store. Thomas will set up wireless in the room. Jodie will create signage for hotel hallways, in-room flyers, and ice-cream mini-flyers.

Club Updates

• Geek Physique – Peter will talk to Tim about getting a permanent and formal co-head for Geek Physique that will schedule walks while Tim is traveling.
• Geeks Reads - Going well. There will be an author meet & greet discussion meeting at CVG.
• Crafty Geek – Jodie talked to Erica and Jodie has formally stepped down as co-head. Erica will be getting the club up and running after her wedding. She will work to secure meeting dates for August, September, and October that can be advertised at CVG. Erica and Jodie will be actively looking for a new co-head as well.
• Gaming - Jodie will email Dave to see if there is a July meeting.
• All Google groups have increased in membership size.

Program Updates

• In the Schools - Group agreed to sponsor Erin’s L.’s daughter by placing a MISFITS ad in her self-published book. Jody Wurl is interested in being in charge of In the Schools. Peter will email Jodie G. pictures of Bridget for the website.
• Project Giving - Matt will find out the cost of getting a brick at Como Zoo for MISFITS. There was discussion about changing the name of Project Giving (Generous Geeks was suggested) but no formal name change decision was made.

Budget Report

• Budget - Current budget is $25,255.16. Two deposits are pending for geek prom and towels. Geek prom went over budget by 112.00 (hotel room and liquor.) However, the trivia contest was under budget. The MISFITS regent retreat receipt has not been turned in yet. In the Schools have only spent half of their budget. The Minicon room party was under budget. The MC’s agreed we need an emergency fund and we have to figure in room cost to budget for in the future for hotel events. August meeting should be the budget meeting, finalizing in September. Club heads must be there. Peter will communicate this out.

Other

• The group also discussed getting business cards for the MISFITS regents.
• There was discussion around getting a Flicker site for MISFITS.
